Grandma Squirrel

Every once in a while, walking around the neighborhood after lunch, I spot a squirrel splayed out on the road.  “Oh, no ~ how could somebody run over a squirrel when the speed limit is 16 MPH?”  I move to put the poor creature in an adequate resting place – Woah! – the little guy jumps up and runs away!  Happy ending.

My theory is that squirrels use the heat from the hot, dark tarmac for natural healing.  At least that’s what I do.  A heating pad is my universal cure for all my problems ~ aches, pains, pulled muscles, you name it.  A little bit of extra heat in an area, and more blood flows there, accelerating the removal of toxins and damaged tissues, and the recovery of normal functioning.

Of course, if the condition persists, I pick up the phone and call the VA nurse’s hotline to ask for advice; and, if necessary, schedule an appointment with my VA doctor.  Otherwise, I’m back up on my feet in no time ~ poking around online for some new kernels of controversy!
