Where electric heat elements are used, their performance can be improved by several simple measures:
1. Keep the heat-transfer surfaces clean and unobstructed.
2. Ensure proper functioning of all heating elements, controls, and fans.
3. On infrared heaters, check the cleanliness and beam-direction of the reflective elements.
4. Check to see if the element is operating at the rated voltage. If not, the device should be put on a dedicated circuit to ensure it operates at peak efficiency.
