In many installations, corridors and lobbies aren’t in constant use throughout the day. School corridors between classes are one example, although most buildings have hallways that don’t need to be fully conditioned all the time. These might include corridors to storage rooms, mechanical rooms, or service entrances. These hallways won’t suffer if their thermostats are turned up. It may even be possible to turn off radiators or close supply-air registers completely, except at the building entrance.
