This project is predicated on two things: (1) the circuiting of the existing overhead lights makes it impossible to use less than one- fourth of the light in a given space, and (2) people often work in the area during periods in which the balance of the office is not occupied. The project is quite simple: develop a desk lamp issuance program to allow the people who work after hours to do so, but without needing to turn on all the overhead luminaires.
